On Market Wednesdays: Mid-Ohio Investor Deals, October 14, 2026

I went through this week's Mid-Ohio board and pulled the deals that still look like they have some real room in them. There's a fresh auction in Galion ending October 24, more auctions running through the end of the month, a big tillable land auction near Galion, and two Shelby rentals that already bring in rent, including a $70,000 triplex.

This week's nine

1. 708 Fairview Ave, Galion (auction)
New this week. It's a three bedroom, one bath home with an online auction ending October 24 at 7pm, and the listing shows a reserve of $75,186.02. It's a guardianship and probate sale, and the house needs renovation, so there could be room to add value with some work.

A two bedroom, one bath Cape Cod going to auction October 17 at 10am on HiBid. This is a low cost way in for a rental or a flip.

Online auction October 31 at 9am on HiBid. It's a four bedroom, three bath home with about 2,111 square feet. It could be a good fit if you like to buy a house, fix it up, rent it out, and then refinance to pull some of your money back out.

Court ordered online auction ending October 31 at 11am. It's a three bedroom, two bath ranch with a full basement, a two car garage, and an outbuilding.

A land auction on the Crawford and Morrow county line with about 54 tillable acres, details to confirm. It sells as is. Check the listing for the latest auction details.

8. 100 Second St, Shelby, $275,000
Four rentals on one parcel: a duplex plus two mobile homes. The listing shows about $3,300 a month in gross rent. The owner pays about $500 a month for water, septic, and electric, but there are three separate electric meters, so there may be room to split those costs.

9. 40 Second St, Shelby, $70,000
A triplex listed by our office, Dream Huge, bringing in about $1,400 a month with two long term tenants in place. The plumbing is all new from the street to the faucets. One unit is renovated and one still needs work, so you'd have income coming in plus room to add value.
